Did you know that one of the things that holds a lot of people back from losing weight is not drinking enough water?
Without water, your body’s organs can’t do their jobs optimally. You can eat the right foods, exercise, and get good sleep, but if you aren’t drinking water then you are just making things a lot harder than they should be.
How much water should you be drinking?
The easiest way to figure this out is by weighing yourself and then dividing that number by half. So if you weigh 130 lbs then you need to drink anywhere between 65 and 130 ounces of water every single day.
This may not seem like much but when you start drinking it you will quickly realize that you haven’t been close to drink the amount of water you really need.
How to Drink More Water
The fact of the matter is while drinking water is great, it can get quite boring.
I mean, water is water. It is what it is.
Nobody can fault you for wanting a bit of flavor in your life, right?
Adding flavor to water usually means adding sweeteners that kind of defeat the whole purpose of drinking water.
However, that’s where detox waters come into play.
What Are Detox Waters?
Detox waters are simply water recipes that contain different ingredients shown to help with weight loss in some way.
What’s great about them is that there are so many things on this planet that help with weight loss that you can create some awesome combinations.
The idea is that water helps to act as a transport for all of the other beneficial things that you are consuming.
One detox water is not better than the others. It’s really more about what your needs are and finding the right food that will help with those needs.
An Overnight Fat-Burning Water Detox Recipe
First, let’s get this out of the way.
This isn’t the only fat-burning water detox recipe around. There is a number of them but I really like this one for what it does and the flavors that it brings to the table.
Remember, even though you’re adding things to your water that are good for you if you aren’t enjoying the flavor then what’s the point?
I like to keep things simple. I don’t want to have to drive across state lines to a farm to find the ingredients that I need. If they aren’t readily available for me at the grocery store then I move on to the next thing.
Thankfully, you should easily find these ingredients almost anywhere that you go:
Then you just fill a container of water with 1 sliced lemon, 1 sliced cucumber, and about 10-12 mint leaves.
Let it sit overnight in the fridge and you have yourself a refreshing fat-burning drink that is also great for your skin.
